We met with Ahmed Enes İnce, the General Manager of the Testeresan serving in the cutting tools sector for many years, to discuss the company’s goals.   • How was the year 2024 overall for the industry? What are your assessments regarding the first quarter of 2025?

The year 2024 saw a generally sluggish trend for the wood and metal industries. The effects of high interest rate policies began to be clearly felt in the market. Sectors that require significant capital investment, such as machine production, were notably impacted. While Testeresan was also affected by this stagnation, since we operate in machine components such as cutting tools and saws, we did not face as significant a contraction as machine manufacturers. However, we are concerned that this effect may become more pronounced in 2025. We can observe from various companies that the waves are just beginning to hit the shore. Additionally, in 2024, there was a noticeable rise in the gold market. This increase affected the stock balances of companies involved in capital planning, prompting them to reassess their financial planning. The long-term disruption of machine investments in the wood and metalworking industries has the potential to indirectly impact the demand for saws as well.

  • What would you like to say about the current state of Türkiye in the cutting tools sector?

In recent years, significant developments have taken place in Türkiye’s cutting tools sector. With the increase in domestic production capacity, more competitive and high-quality products have been introduced to the market. One of the most notable innovations in the sector has been the widespread use of PCD (Polycrystalline Diamond) tipped saws. Thanks to the long-lasting advantages of this technology, the need for tool replacement has decreased, while efficiency has significantly increased. Additionally, companies offering sharpening services have transitioned from conventional machines to CNC machines, elevating precision and quality to a higher level. Although many brands operate in the woodworking machinery sector, Testeresan, through the Kronberg TCT diamond saws we represent, has proven ourselves among the top three most widespread brands in Türkiye with our quality and long-lasting performance. These developments have strengthened the sector’s adaptation to technology and its competitiveness, enabling it to secure a stronger position in the global market.

  • Could you provide information about your product range?

We provide the sales and after-sales services of industrial saws and blades used for cutting and working with all kinds of materials in industries such as iron and steel, furniture, wood, plastic, textiles, packaging, paper, rubber, and food in our country. Specifically, in the woodworking machinery sector, we offer high performance and easy access in cutting wood, MDF, laminate, and chipboard with our Kronberg TCT diamond saws. Additionally, we provide efficient cutting solutions for aluminum, plastic, PVC, and metal cutting (dry cut). Our saws, specially designed for different materials, help improve cutting quality while optimizing working time and costs.

  • Could you provide information about your after-sales services? What kind of investments and efforts are you making in this regard?

At Testeresan, we prioritize customer satisfaction and strive to provide the highest level of after-sales services. For TCT diamond circular saw users in Istanbul, we offer sharpening services with our high-precision CNC machines and experienced technical team. Our advanced sharpening facility is one of the most equipped service points in Türkiye. For customers outside Istanbul, we supply products to over 100 after-sales sharpening service companies with our half-century of experience. In recent years, we have added advanced technology machines such as the Vollmer CHP1300 and CHC840 to enhance our service quality. Additionally, in the woodworking machinery sector, we use advanced IDEAL German machines to perform welding processes for band saws at high-quality standards. In this way, we contribute to our customers’ ability to manage their work processes in the most efficient way by offering flawless solutions.
