According to data released by the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (CBRT), the seasonally adjusted Real Sector Confidence Index rose by 0.1 points to 102.5 in September, while the Capacity Utilization Rate increased by 0.6 points to 74.1%. The capacity utilization rate thus returned to an upward trend after two consecutive months of decline.
The Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (CBRT) released its Real Sector Confidence Index and Capacity Utilization Rate data for September. According to the figures, the seasonally adjusted Real Sector Confidence Index increased by 0.1 points from the previous month to 102.5. The unadjusted Real Sector Confidence Index, meanwhile, declined by 0.8 points month-on-month to 102. The index had stood at 102.8 in August.
An analysis of the diffusion indices related to the survey questions that make up the index showed that assessments regarding the general business situation, current total orders, total employment over the next three months and total orders over the past three months contributed positively to the index. By contrast, assessments concerning export orders over the next three months, current stocks of finished goods, fixed capital investment expenditure and production volume over the next three months had a downward impact on the index.
Capacity utilization rises after two months of decline
The seasonally adjusted Capacity Utilization Rate increased by 0.6 points from the previous month to 74.1% in September. The unadjusted Capacity Utilization Rate also rose by 0.7 points month-on-month to 74.2%. As a result, the capacity utilization rate increased again following two consecutive months of decline.
