AİMSAD participated in Xylexpo 2026, held in Milan, Italy, from 9 to 12 June, representing the Turkish woodworking machinery industry. As one of the sector’s key international meeting points, the exhibition provided AİMSAD with the opportunity to meet with industry professionals while closely following the latest developments in manufacturing technologies and global market trends.
Xylexpo 2026, dedicated to woodworking and furniture manufacturing technologies, brought together companies operating in woodworking machinery, furniture production technologies, and related industries. The exhibition enabled participants to showcase their products and keep abreast of the latest industry developments. Throughout the event, AİMSAD welcomed visitors at its stand and provided information on the Turkish woodworking machinery industry’s manufacturing capabilities, export performance, and areas of activity. Applications supporting the digitalization of manufacturing processes, automation systems, and productivity-oriented technologies were among the exhibition’s key highlights. While cautious market conditions across the industry were also reflected at the fair, exhibitors presented visitors with their digitalization- and sustainability-focused solutions.
Meetings Held with Industry Representatives
Throughout the exhibition, AİMSAD representatives met with industry professionals, institutions, and companies from various countries to exchange views on the current state of the sector, developments in different markets, and expectations for the period ahead. These meetings contributed to promoting the Turkish woodworking machinery industry on the international stage while also enabling sector representatives to observe developments in global markets firsthand. Arif Onur Kaçak, Board Member and Secretary General of AİMSAD, stated that the uncertainties in the global economy and the ongoing slowdown in many markets were also reflected in the overall atmosphere of the exhibition. “At Xylexpo 2026, we observed that companies were acting more cautiously and adopting a more selective approach to investment decisions. Nevertheless, trade fairs continue to play an important role in understanding the current state of the industry, monitoring developments in different markets, and maintaining existing business relationships. As AİMSAD, the meetings we held throughout the exhibition enabled us to closely follow the latest developments in our industry while representing the Turkish woodworking machinery sector on the international platform.”
