AIMSAD Woodworking Machinery Sector Report, compiled from TÜİK foreign trade data, has been published. Accordingly, while the export-oriented growth in the sector continued, the downward trend in import rates also continued. When the figures related to the market were analyzed; it was seen that the woodworking machinery sector exported 61 million 389 thousand dollars and imported 36 million 550 thousand dollars in the first 5 months of the year.

In the first 5 months of the year, Turkey imported the most machinery from China, Italy and Germany, the major players of the sector. Turkey imported 13 million 803 thousand dollars of machinery from China, 11 million 537 thousand dollars from Italy and 6 million 694 thousand dollars from Germany in the January-May period.
