Founded on June 6, 2014, in Istanbul, AIMSAD has been continuing its activities with the vision of being the unifying force of the Turkish woodworking machinery industry since its inception. In a short time, AIMSAD has achieved the distinction of becoming the second-largest association in the woodworking machinery industry in Europe and has undertaken a series of significant initiatives to follow industry developments, support innovations, and enhance the sector’s competitiveness on an international level.

The Woodworking Machinery Industrialists Association (AIMSAD), which operates with the mission of ensuring cooperation, solidarity, and information exchange among member companies involved in the manufacturing and representation of woodworking machinery and its subsidiary industries, manages all its processes through collective wisdom.

Despite being a young association, AIMSAD has achieved the success of becoming the second-largest association in its industry in Europe and continues to work resolutely to ensure the sustainable growth of the sector. With 95% of its members being machinery manufacturing companies, AIMSAD undertakes initiatives and efforts to resolve the economic, financial, legal, administrative, technological, manufacturing, export, and import-related issues of its members within the framework of its defined mission.

To promote Turkish machinery manufacturers in the global market and diversify export markets, AIMSAD places great importance on international trade fairs, participating in nearly 80 different overseas fairs in countries such as Germany, Italy, Dubai, Iran, Russia, England, the USA, Greece, India, Egypt, Algeria, Poland, and Serbia, successfully representing the Turkish woodworking machinery sector. These fairs provide an opportunity for Turkish machinery manufacturers and the latest technologies in the sector to be showcased worldwide and increase the recognition of the “Made in Türkiye” brand.

AIMSAD, EUMABOIS Board Member

AIMSAD, which approaches the strengthening of international collaborations and the increased representation of the Turkish woodworking machinery sector with great sensitivity, swiftly initiated efforts in this direction and just three months after its establishment, on September 12, 2014, participated in the General Assembly of the European Federation of Woodworking Machinery Manufacturers (EUMABOIS) held in Italy. AIMSAD became a member of EUMABOIS at the end of the same year and was elected to the Board of Directors at the EUMABOIS General Assembly held in Switzerland in September 2016. Today, still a member of the EUMABOIS Board of Directors, AIMSAD participates in the board meetings held in a different city around the world each year, informing international representatives about the changes and developments in the sector.

Strong voice of Turkish woodworking industry

Making significant investments in corporate and sectoral communication, AIMSAD has been publishing AIMSAD Magazine since 2015, which keeps its finger on the pulse of the Turkish woodworking machinery sector and serves as an important resource for the industry with its most up-to-date and original content. The bimonthly magazine features sectoral data, interviews with industry representatives, articles, and research files. One of AIMSAD’s main agenda items is diversifying export markets and supporting the increase of export figures, and in this regard, it launched a new publication, TWM Magazine, in 2024. Distributed in key target markets such as America, South America, Europe, and the Turkic Republics, and prepared by the expert team of AIMSAD Magazine, TWM Magazine further enhances the potential of the sector by sharing the success stories of Turkish machinery manufacturers with a wide international audience.
