Baromak – Onur Özbek

“We achieved sales we’ve never achieved at any fair before”

The first two days of the fair saw an incredible crowd. We achieved sales we’ve never achieved at any fair before. It was practically a record for us, and we struggled to keep up. It was also quite productive from the customer perspective. Interest in our booth was very high. However, looking at the figures, approximately 90% of visitors were domestic and 10% were international. The number of international visitors is really low. This is a chronic problem for WoodTech. We have been saying for years that permanent measures need to be taken in this regard, but no concrete steps have been taken yet. We believe that the authorities need to make more effort in this regard.

Mimçeko – Fatih Atalay

“Visitors consist of people focused on their needs”

This year’s visitor profile fell well below our expectations. We didn’t see many visitors from abroad, and we also observed less participation from within the country compared to previous years. There are various reasons for this. This issue is not related to Tüyap’s or the fair’s promotion; we believe that people are generally moving away from fairs. A similar trend is observed worldwide. People’s priorities are changing due to the influence of the media, the internet, and social media. Whereas Saturdays and Sundays used to be busier, people now prefer to spend this time with their families and on themselves. Nevertheless, the fair is becoming more professional every year. The visitors are people who know what they want and are focused on their needs. In this respect, it was a good fair, but of course, it could be even better.

İnegöl Form – Ömer Faruk Dilek

“There were mostly domestic visitors”

The first days of the fair were quite crowded. There were mostly domestic visitors, but the fair calmed down significantly in the following days. We are satisfied in terms of interest, but we cannot say we are completely satisfied with the overall situation. We believe that there was insufficient promotion for the fair. There may also be an issue with timing; in the past, the pace would pick up towards the weekend, but this year it was almost empty from the beginning of the week.

Isımek – Ersan Doğan

“The first two days of the fair were particularly busy”

The first two days of the fair were particularly busy. However, the number of foreign visitors was unfortunately lower than we expected; we had hoped for more foreign visitors. In the last few days, as we expected, the fair was calmer and quieter. Overall, it was a good fair for us, much better than last year. Last year we were a bit disappointed, but this year we were quite satisfied.

Üstünkarlı – Samir Yahiaoui

“Visitors were predominantly from Turkish companies”

The first two days of the fair went quite well. The other days were calmer and more relaxed. Overall, visitors were predominantly from Turkish companies, with not much participation from abroad. Only our existing customers came; we didn’t meet any new customers. Foreign visitors were mostly limited to those from Russia and the Balkan countries.

Novo Makine – Yusuf Can Palabıyık

“We received positive feedback during the WoodTech Fair”

We received positive feedback during the WoodTech Fair. There was a level of interest from both Balkan countries and within the country that we had anticipated. Since the start of the fair, the process has progressed as expected. We hope that things will get even better from here on out. We were satisfied with our booth, our customers, and the interest shown.

Orimak – Mustafa Alp

“The majority of visitors were from the domestic market”

The WoodTech 2025 Fair proceeded as usual for us, as it should. While the majority of visitors were from the domestic market, we observed that there were more visitors from foreign markets, particularly from Eastern Europe and the Balkans.

Konsep – Emre Uygun

“This year’s fair turned out as we had anticipated”

We have been participating in the WoodTech Fair since 2016, and this year we became a member of AIMSAD. If you ask whether we felt the impact of this, whether we stood out, the answer is definitely yes. However, I can say that there has been a decline of approximately 20 percent at fairs each year. Since we left the Intermob Fair, our customer potential has decreased significantly. The most important reason for this is that it is quite difficult to attract customers who come to Intermob to a second fair. This situation naturally reflected on our performance. There was a rush on the first days of the fair, but this rush generally consisted of our domestic and foreign customers with whom we work continuously. I cannot say that we were able to gain new customers. It seems more logical for us to have the fairs reunited because customers tend not to make purchases here since they meet their needs at the other fair. We have a small 10% share in the furniture manufacturers’ business line; therefore, our products are generally seen as smaller in scale. Furthermore, since customers from abroad continue to work with their existing suppliers, acquiring new customers is quite difficult. This year’s fair performance was neither above nor below our expectations. It turned out exactly as we had anticipated.

Nesto – Ali Fahri Kurulmaz / Ali Rupçuz

“We need to work together to attract more foreign visitors”

We can say it was a good fair in terms of domestic visitors. Our discussions are ongoing, and we have received positive feedback from our visitors. We have also concluded some discussions. However, in terms of visitors, it fell short of our expectations. The decision to hold the fair every two years needs to be evaluated. In terms of foreign visitors, there has been a decline in the number of foreign visitors every year. We do not believe this decline is related to our separation from the Intermob Fair. We were wasting a lot of time with the visitors of that fair. It is much better to organize WoodTech on its own. However, with a collective mind, something needs to be done to attract more foreign visitors to the WoodTech Fair. Perhaps the fair dates could be reviewed. If our fair were held after the Istanbul Furniture Fair, we might be able to reach the target audience.

AES Group – Mehmet Önder

“We established new contacts and made sales during the fair”

As AES Group, we strive to attend the WoodTech Fair every year with the same enthusiasm and a commitment to improving ourselves. This year, we met with our visitors at our usual location. We achieved good visitor numbers. We established new contacts and made sales. We had visitors from Balkan countries and, to a lesser extent, Arab countries. However, compared to previous years, the number of visitors from Europe was significantly lower this year. The fact that the fair was held after LIGNA this year certainly had an impact on this. We had prior contact with some of our international visitors, while we met others for the first time at this fair. During our discussions with visitors, we learned that they wanted to come to this fair to see the current state of the industry. There is a clear interest in this fair and the industry. The number of domestic visitors was very good. We had visitors from many parts of Türkiye. We met with visitors from regions such as Eastern Anatolia, the Black Sea, Central Anatolia, and the Mediterranean at our booth. Frankly, we were afraid of the domestic market due to both the wars and economic developments, but it didn’t turn out as we had expected. There is an investment motivation.

Leitz – Cem Gül

“We met mostly with our existing customers”

The 2025 WoodTech Fair was productive for our company. Looking at the visitor profile, I can say that almost no one came from abroad. We only had three or four foreign visitors during the day. Therefore, the fair did not have an international event atmosphere from our perspective. There were no new customer visits from within the country either; mostly our existing customers came. They are generally making purchases, gathering information, and asking questions. However, large-scale projects are not involved; discussions are mostly focused on meeting daily needs.

SCM Turkey – Umut İnce

“Only large companies invite customers to this fair”

The general visitor portfolio of the fair consisted of the same people we see every year. In terms of new customer potential, speaking on behalf of my own company, this ratio remained around 10%. However, based on feedback I received from other companies I spoke with, unfortunately only large companies invite customers to this fair. Small companies are not bringing customers; instead, they are trying to sell products to our customers. This situation is both annoying and harmful to participating companies. There were domestic and international visitors, but the overlapping dates of some fairs seem to have reduced the number of international customers. Our customers from Russia, Dubai, Africa, and the Balkans have turned to other fairs held during the same period.

Katay – Orhan Demirtaş

“We signed new dealership agreements at WoodTech 2025”

As we do every year, we entered the WoodTech Fair with confidence, and we were not disappointed. This fair contributes significantly to our revenue in the last quarter of the year. From our perspective, the WoodTech 2025 Fair has proven itself. As always, our team came here with great excitement. We enthusiastically delivered our solutions to our customers. We will eagerly await next year as well. As a company, we did our part by bringing our dealers to the fair. They visited other companies at the fair and evaluated their products. A large portion of the visitors were serious buyers. This led us to sign dealership agreements with two European countries we had not previously worked with at the fair.

KAMA – Yunus Emre Deringöz

“WoodTech Fair did not meet the expected demand”

Compared to previous years, this fair saw lower visitor turnout. I can say that it was not a very satisfying fair, especially in terms of visitors from abroad or new, potential customers. It seems to be turning into an increasingly local fair. When the WoodTech Fair was held together with Intermob, people stayed longer to visit both fairs. Now it seems like they visit the fair on the weekend and then leave. We only sent mailings to over 2,000 people in our own portfolio. I directly informed 300-400 people via WhatsApp. The fair’s own organization sent out invitations. Each company also carried out its own promotional activities. This fair probably reached tens of thousands of people through these efforts. Despite this, it did not meet the expected demand. Seventy percent of the foreign visitors were people we met at other fairs, our dealers, or people we had previously sold to. Visitors were mostly from Balkan countries. As machine manufacturers, everyone wanted bigger spaces. We got bigger spaces, but our customer and visitor numbers dropped. Our acquaintances who participated in Intermob also complained about the same thing. In my opinion, this fair either needs to be merged again or organized like Interzum and Ligna, with one fair at Tüyap and one fair at the other fairground, one week apart. Perhaps then people would organize their trips to attend the last days of one fair and the first days of the other.

Testeresan – Mehmet Doğan

“Overall, we had a great fair season”

The fair has been a bit busier for us compared to last year. Last year, our booth wasn’t this big, but this year we were able to find space in the hall, so we participated in a larger area. Our feedback has been quite positive; we received positive responses both from our advertising efforts and from visitors who stopped by our booth. In particular, our customers from abroad, our retail users, and visitors from the Anatolia region of Türkiye visited our booth. We held meetings with them, chatted, and made sales. Overall, the fair went well for us, and we had no problems. We hope next year will be even better.

Siloma – Ferda Kurt

“The portfolio of domestic visitors has increased significantly compared to last year”

The portfolio of domestic visitors has increased significantly compared to last year, but we are not seeing the same increase in foreign visitors. There has been a significant drop in the number of foreign visitors. Overall, we are satisfied with the fair because the proportion and quality of domestic visitors is quite high.

Saf Teknik – İsmail Hakkı Aktaş

“There has been a significant decrease in visitors from the European region”

The WoodTech 2025 Fair was a little slower than in previous years. However, this was actually to be expected. We had observed a similar decrease at other major fairs around the world that we visited before this fair. Therefore, we anticipated a 30% drop in attendance for this fair. There has been a significant decrease in visitors from the European region in particular. Other than that, we did not see any shortcomings or disruptions at the fair. We now consider this year complete and aim to prepare much better for 2026.

Edda – Yavuz Bayram

“We need to analyze the issues well so that WoodTech can continue to grow every year”

For us, WoodTech is one of the important fairs we participate in during the year. That’s why we have such a large booth. Compared to previous years, we noticed a decrease in the number of foreign visitors, especially in certain regions. We need to evaluate this together. Is there a shortcoming in our promotion, or is it due to the economic environment in which our customers find themselves? We need to analyze this so that this fair can continue to grow every year. At WoodTech 2025, we mainly met with visitors from Balkan countries. Over the last two to three years, there has been a significant decrease from Romania, Bulgaria, and Greece. This fair used to attract many visitors from Tunisia, Algeria, and the Arabian Peninsula, but there has been a slowdown in recent years. To understand the reasons for these issues, we need to look at the visitor profile over the last two to three years. While there has been a very slight decrease in domestic visitors, there is no problem. WoodTech is a fair that we value highly and where we meet with a large number of people.

Dinçmak – Mehmet Dinç

“We established new customer and dealer connections at the fair”

The WoodTech 2025 Fair started off quite productively for us. Many of our dealers and customers who had previously chosen our machines visited our booth. At the fair, we had the opportunity to showcase our new R&D projects. We also provided visitors with information about our new machine projects currently in the planning stage. This year, we saw particular interest from visitors from the Bulgarian, Russian, and Portuguese markets. We shared references from our existing machines with new customers we met. We established new customer and dealer connections at the fair and held productive discussions on the emerging trends in modern chair and furniture production within the industry. In this regard, we will continue our R&D efforts with determination.

Poyraz Makina – İlker Keskin

“The WoodTech 2025 Fair went well for us”

The fair went quite well for us. Looking at our domestic and international portfolio, we were able to achieve the high turnout we expected over the weekend. Monday and Tuesday were also busy days. We didn’t have the opportunity to visit other halls, but our visitors said that the other halls were also crowded. This shows us that people are following innovations and are interested in technology. This is very important for our country. We had a lot of new contacts domestically. But I can say that we didn’t have the new contacts we expected internationally. We had two or three guests from Iran. Apart from Slovenia and Slovakia, we didn’t have many visitors from the Balkan countries. We had one guest from Algeria. Last year, there were also few international visitors. Even in the past, while we didn’t have many visitors from European countries, we used to have many visitors from Arab countries and the Balkan region.

Adaçam – Mahmut Sezen

“We had a weak fair period”

It was the weakest fair we have participated in so far. We achieved the expected normal intensity on Saturday and Sunday. However, starting from Monday morning, we had a weak fair period. In previous fairs, we couldn’t keep up with the intensity of our customers, but now we are sitting idle. The number of visitors from abroad is also quite low. Only a few Macedonians and Iranians from the Balkan region came. In previous years, we had many potential customers from nearby regions who came to the fair, with whom we could have made many dealership agreements. Unfortunately, we were unable to establish this dialogue this year.

Ligno – Kenan Arıcı

“It was a more promising fair compared to last year”

It was a more promising fair compared to last year. We met with companies that had slightly higher potential. We didn’t have many opportunities to meet new companies. We mainly met with companies we had worked with before. I always evaluate situations with the mindset that 1-0 is better than nothing. Therefore, I am generally satisfied with the WoodTech 2025 Fair. However, in my meetings with participating companies, I observed a widespread opinion that this fair should be held every two years. These fairs require serious preparation, and you incur significant expenses. Only a quarter or a fifth of the customers we invite come to visit the fair. But overall, I don’t want to paint a pessimistic picture; it was a more promising fair. Due to its geography, Türkiye is going through a very difficult period. There is the Middle East crisis, the issue of Syria and Iraq, and the issue of Ukraine-Russia. Many companies in Türkiye do business in these regions. In addition to these, there is also the well-known China issue. These companies are seriously hampering competition in Türkiye.

Accema/Uvtek – Metin Arslan

“We had twice as many customer meetings as last year”

The fair was busier for us compared to last year. Having similar products in the same hall made it easier to reach our customer portfolio. Therefore, this year we had twice as many visitor meetings as in 2024. Although it will be clear after the fair, I can say that the quality of visitors was good. There was a noticeable increase in foreign demand compared to last year, and we received the demand we expected. As always, there were many visitors from Balkan countries such as Kosovo and Bosnia. There weren’t many visitors from the Middle East. We had a few visitors from Egypt, Dubai, and Saudi Arabia at our booth. We also observed some movement in the domestic market. This year, visitors were serious buyers, intending to invest in machinery. The downward trend in interest rates may be encouraging people to invest. It also seemed to me that some customers withdrew from the market, creating an investment enthusiasm to share the remaining pie. I believe the upcoming period will be better than last year.

Bozdemir / İstanbul Çelik – Aykut Bozdemir

“We started working with Macedonia, Bulgaria, and Greece at this fair”

As a company, we had a successful fair season. It was a well-organized event. During this period, companies that produce high-quality products can make a difference. Companies have to go beyond the standard. We also made a difference in the industry by focusing on the wide saw group. Lumber merchants came directly to the fair. We had the opportunity to meet with the right audience. In this sense, we got what we expected from Europe and the Balkans. We started working with Macedonia, Bulgaria, and Greece at this fair.

Feniş – Tijen Akoğlu

“Despite the current challenges, WoodTech 2025 was a successful fair”

The current economic crisis in Türkiye, the slowdown in the construction sector, global issues, and bottlenecks are causing people to shy away from investing. Of course, this is also reflected in fairs. However, despite the current challenges, WoodTech 2025 was a successful fair. We were satisfied with both domestic and international visitor numbers and secured some great deals at the fair. There wasn’t much diversity in international visitors, but there were many visitors from Kosovo, Bulgaria, and Macedonia. We had very few visitors from the Middle East and Europe. However, all the visitors who came were high-quality individuals who came to do business.

Yazgan Makine – Fatih Mehmet Yazgan

“We got more than we expected from the WoodTech 2025 Fair”

I can say that we got more than we expected from the WoodTech 2025 Fair. I think it will be much better in the coming period. Believe me, it was a very crowded fair, thankfully our friends valued us a lot. It was quite crowded. I am really happy about this situation in this crisis environment. I felt a real sense of vitality in the domestic market. Having been in the market for a long time, I observed some relief in financing issues. Of course, I don’t know what the future will bring, but I did see that visitors were happy. Market stakeholders are trying to do something, and we did our best. As Yazgan Makine, we had a wonderful and busy fair period.

Ima Schelling – Enes Morkoç

“We had a busy fair season”

Compared to last year’s fair, we can say that we had a busier fair season this year. Last year we were in a back hall and our space was smaller. This year we invested more in our booth space and increased our square footage by 50% because we saw high demand last year. We experienced the same level of intensity this year. Hopefully this intensity will continue to grow next year. However, there were still people who couldn’t find our booth. It’s a process, and it’s much better than last year. I don’t expect things to be better today; my goal is for it to be at least a little better than last year. We achieved that. As we all know, we are going through difficult economic times. At Ima Schelling, we serve a 1-2% market. It’s even more difficult for us, but we are still doing well considering the current situation.

KLK Grup – Adem Külük

“The fair didn’t go well for us”

The fair didn’t go well for us this year. I think the main problem is the separation of the WoodTech Fair and the Intermob Fair. This situation significantly reduced the number of visitors to the fair. As KLK Group, we had a better fair season last year. We need to examine and analyze whether this is due to a lack of promotion or whether people’s perception of the fair has changed.

ÖKG Özkonyalılar – Ömer Baran

“We had a better fair than last year”

Compared to the 2024 WoodTech Fair, we can say that we had a much better fair this year. We met new companies we hadn’t worked with before and hosted our existing partners at our booth throughout the fair. It was a fair with a very high number of domestic visitors, but unfortunately, we did not see the number of international visitors we had hoped for.

Canmaksan – Ozan Can

“Local manufacturers showed a serious desire to invest”

Compared to last year’s fair, the number of foreign visitors was low, but on the other hand, local manufacturers showed a serious desire to invest. The order placement rate increased significantly compared to last year. Our only concern is the decrease in foreign visitors compared to last year. We would prefer visitors from abroad to be dealer-focused. The dealers who came are those we already work with, have met before, or attend this fair every year. While our visitors from abroad decreased, our domestic visitors increased. We already have ongoing sales abroad. Our sales to domestic manufacturers had declined over the past year, but I believe that the productive meetings at the fair will have a positive impact on domestic sales over the next six months. We will definitely close this year on a better note. It will also be enough for at least three to four months of 2026 for us.

Netmak – Melike Türksever Yılmaz

“The number of domestic visitors was quite high”

The fair was very busy during the first two days. Compared to previous years, there were fewer visitors from abroad. We did not receive the visitors we expected from Europe, the Turkic Republics, and the Middle East. This may be related to the downturn in the sector. Visitors from abroad were generally our dealers, people we have been working with for many years. Our dealers from the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands, Kosovo, and Serbia attended the fair. However, the number of domestic visitors was quite high. People who needed to make machinery investments for their projects came to the fair. In this sense, the fair was good; at least we know that the visitors were qualified. Holding the fair every two years could be considered here. This would be more effective.

Fimaksan – İrem Fidancı

“The WoodTech 2025 Fair was productive for us”

The WoodTech 2025 Fair was productive for us. I had anticipated before the fair that potential customers were waiting for this fair to make investments. The interest and attention in our machines was quite good. Our visitors had the opportunity to closely examine all our machines at our booth; they tested our machines at the fair and saw their functionality and quality. Face-to-face communication made it easier for us to convince visitors about our products and services and to gain new customers. As always, we received very positive feedback from our customers regarding our quality. Our optimization-based lines, which reduce the number of personnel working in lumber mills by 60-80%, attracted considerable interest. Due to the increasing personnel shortages in lumber workshops in recent years, there was intense demand for our optimized lines both domestically and internationally this year. We have always been able to respond to visitors’ unique projects, and the demand for this type of specialized work has also excited us. We saw that new projects capable of operating under current market conditions could also be quite well-received. As in the previous year, it was good that only woodworking machinery companies participated in the fair this year. This brought the right customer base together in one place, and truly interested visitors came to the fair. However, the number of foreign visitors at this fair was unfortunately below my expectations. I believe that the fair’s international promotion efforts need to be strengthened. I hope that the WoodTech Fair will fully acquire an international identity. This year, our foreign visitors came mainly from Russia and the Balkan countries, just like last year. I hope that next year, more sellers and visitors will come from continents where lumber production is intensive, namely Europe, North and South America, and Africa.

Mısırlı – Behiye Aydın

“We had a productive fair season in terms of domestic visitors”

This year turned out better than we expected. We had a fair season where we were able to explain our machines to more people and showcase our products more effectively. As Egyptians, we had a productive fair. We were satisfied with the number of domestic visitors, but we didn’t see the performance we expected from abroad. In the past, more people came from Balkan countries and the Arab world, but this year there were fewer visitors. We met with our existing international dealers at the fair; they visited us as they do every year. Domestic visitor turnout was twice as high as we had anticipated. The high domestic demand balanced the situation somewhat.

Törk – Mustafa Sabri Erol

“We had a high-quality visitor base”

We have observed significant activity in some of our machine groups. There were particular difficulties with panel furniture machines at last year’s fair. Processes were not being completed, and decision-making processes were not being finalized. Probably due to the decline in the number of furniture manufacturers experiencing financial problems in that sector, there is a significant increase in demand for panel furniture machines at this year’s fair. Since we manufacture these machines, we had a very successful fair. However, the stagnation we experienced last year is still present in solid wood, panel, and lumber group machines. This year, we truly had a high-quality visitor base.

ABM – Orhun Şaşal

“We reached our target audience”

Overall, it was a great fair. We observed a significant influx of visitors on Saturday and Sunday. I can say that we reached our target audience. There weren’t many visitors from abroad, but the number of domestic visitors was quite high. However, there were many visitors from Lebanon. We had a few visitors from the Balkans. There weren’t many visitors from Europe. Most of the companies we had worked with before visited us during the fair.
