AA Finance’s expectations survey on the second-quarter GDP data, which will be announced by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) on Monday, August 31, was completed with the participation of 11 economists. According to the survey results, economists expect the Turkish economy to grow by 2.80 percent year-on-year in the second quarter.
Economists’ growth forecasts for the second quarter ranged between 2.20 percent and 3 percent. The median growth forecast of the economists participating in the survey for the whole of 2026 was 3 percent. Forecasts for this period ranged from a low of 2.50 percent to a high of 3.50 percent. The median growth forecast for the end of 2027 was 4 percent. The Turkish economy had grown by 2.5 percent in the first quarter of 2026.
