Participating in the Dubai Woodshow Fair, known as the most important organization of the woodworking machinery industry in the Middle East, AIMSAD provided information to the visitors about the Turkish woodworking machinery industry, Turkish companies and the work carried out by AIMSAD for the development of the sector.
Believing that fairs and events organized abroad are of critical importance for the development of the sectors and participating in fairs held in many different countries every year in accordance with this belief, AIMSAD’s first stop in 2024 was the Dubai Woodshow Fair held between 5-7 March.
Expressing his views on the Dubai Woodshow Fair, AIMSAD Secretary General Arif Onur Kaçak said: “As AIMSAD, we have been attaching great importance to diversifying the export markets of our sector since the year we were founded. In this regard, we opened 2024 with Dubai Woodshow. We will continue to take part in many events throughout the year with our members, explaining the successes of Turkish woodworking machinery manufacturers and their products and services that can meet all kinds of needs. Dubai, together with its neighboring countries, caters to a woodworking machinery market worth approximately $500 million. We think that this region will increase its importance in the coming years. Generally, 15-20 Turkish companies took part in the fair. Most of the participants from Türkiye were wood-based raw material, glue, furniture chemical manufacturers and furniture accessory producing companies. In addition, we had 4-5 machinery companies exhibiting their products through their dealers at the fair.”

Secretary General Arif Onur Kaçak attended the fair gala dinner held on the evening of the first day of the fair, on behalf of AIMSAD. AIMSAD was given a plaque by Dubai Woodshow organizers for its support to the fair. Making a speech at the gala dinner, Kaçak said: “I am very happy to come together with the industry at the Dubai Woodshow Fair. This fair, like every year, offers us the opportunity to bring together and share the latest developments and innovations in our industry. Dubai Woodshow provides a valuable platform to highlight the importance of collaboration and knowledge sharing. I believe that this fair, which offers the opportunity to reach a 500-million-dollar market in Africa and the Middle East, will be an exciting opportunity to establish new business contacts, exchange ideas and contribute to growth.
