Head of LIGNA, Deutsche Messe AG
In just a few weeks, exhibiting companies will begin setting up their stands, marking the final countdown to LIGNA 2025 (26–30 May) in Hanover, Germany. This year, as LIGNA celebrates its 50th anniversary, the atmosphere is truly special. Many of our long-standing customers from Germany and abroad have been with us since the very first event in 1975.
A total of 59 companies from Türkiye will be exhibiting at LIGNA 2025, covering an area of 8,000 square meters. This puts Türkiye in third place, following Germany and Italy – an impressive result that we are very delighted about. So far, 1,363 exhibitors covering 113,000 square meters have registered for LIGNA 2025, and the numbers continue to rise. Given the economic conditions in the industry, this is a remarkably strong signal. Traditionally, around two-thirds of exhibitors and well over 50 per cent of visitors come to LIGNA from abroad, underscoring its global reach as the leading international trade fair for the woodworking and wood processing industry.
We are often asked: What makes LIGNA so unique? The answer may sound simple, but it captures the essence of the trade fair perfectly: Every two years, LIGNA brings together the entire global woodworking and wood processing community. It is the place where supply meets demand, where exhibitors connect with their customers – the trade show visitors. Companies that choose not to exhibit risk missing out on key business opportunities, as potential customers come to LIGNA with specific investment intentions. Not participating could mean losing business to competitors.
Moreover, only at a world-leading trade fair can you truly see, experience, and compare the entire global market of an industry. If you want to know what is state of the art in the industry on an international scale and get your business ready and competitive for the future, then you have to be at LIGNA. This is where the entire network converges. Missing it should not be an option – especially not when LIGNA is celebrating its 50th anniversary and exhibitors are coming to Hanover with the clear goal of shaping the industry’s future together.
