Since its establishment on June 6, 2014, Turkish Woodworking Machinery Industrialists Association (AIMSAD) has been operating as the leading unifying force of the Turkish woodworking machinery industry. Founded with inspiration from the structures of similar non-governmental organizations in Europe, AIMSAD, aims to strengthen its members, increase export figures and diversify markets by providing cooperation, solidarity and information exchange in the sector. Turkish Woodworking Machinery Industrialists Association (AIMSAD) was established in Istanbul on June 6, 2014. AIMSAD, whose foundations were laid by taking the structures of non-governmental organizations in Europe as an example, has been operating with the vision of being the unifying force of the Turkish woodworking machinery industry since the day it was founded.

The mission of AIMSAD, which has 116 active members producing at world standards, is to provide cooperation, solidarity and information exchange between member companies operating in the manufacturing and representation of woodworking machines and its sub-industry. AIMSAD, which carries out all its processes with common sense, attempts and works to solve the economic, financial, legal, administrative, technological, manufacturing, export and import problems of its members within the framework of its determined mission.

Machine manufacturer companies account  for 95 percent of the members

Although AIMSAD was founded by companies engaged in the manufacturing of woodworking machinery and is headquartered in Istanbul, it has united all relevant machinery and sub-industry companies across Türkiye under its roof. AİMSAD, 95 percent of whose members are machinery manufacturing companies, acts with the vision of always being able to work more effectively together with its member companies and all management bodies, being aware of the importance of woodworking machinery and sub-industry sectors for the country’s economy. AIMSAD, which continues to work determinedly to protect the interests of its members and ensure the sustainable growth of the sector, aims to develop the Turkish woodworking machinery industry market and take it to the highest level. In line with this purpose, AIMSAD carries out a series of important studies to follow the developments in the sector, support innovations and increase the competitiveness of the sector in the international arena.

AIMSAD supports the sector’s development

AIMSAD contributes to the development of the sector by collaborating with other sector-related stakeholders as well as its members. It aims to improve the knowledge and skills of professionals in the sector by organizing training programs and to encourage innovation by supporting research and development activities. AIMSAD, which is active not only in the woodworking machinery sector in Türkiye but also internationally, carries out studies that will support Turkish manufacturers’ access to markets abroad. It carries out various activities to promote the sector and increase export opportunities by participating in fairs and events abroad. AIMSAD helps inform its members by following the current developments and technological innovations in the sector and helps companies adapt to changes in the sector, thus supporting the competitiveness and sustainable growth of the sector.

The biggest meeting point of the woodworking machinery industry in Eurasia: WoodTech

In this context, AIMSAD, acting with the awareness that fairs organized both at home and abroad are essential for the promotion of the sectors, has been collaborating with Türkiye’s leading fair company Tüyap for many years. WoodTech Fair, the largest meeting point of the sector in Eurasia, has been organized continuously for many years with the international experience of RX Tüyap combined with the sector influence and unifying structure of AIMSAD. WoodTech Fair, which is preparing to be held for the 36th time this year at Tüyap Fair and Congress Center between 12-16 October 2024, offers unmissable opportunities for those who want to get to know Turkish machines, brands and companies’ visions.

All4Wood to bring the industry together in Warsaw this year

AIMSAD, which carries out important work to diversify the export markets of the sector and increase export figures, attaches great importance to foreign fairs and organizations in this context, and participates in such organizations held in different countries throughout the year. In this context, AIMSAD, which has made a great contribution to the sector thanks to its cooperation with Tüyap, is also an important supporter of the All4Wood Fair, which started to be held in the Balkans and Turkish Republics as of 2023. The first of the fair was held in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, last year, and the second will be held in Warsaw between 14-16 May 2024.

www.trwm.com.tr brings innovation to the sector

The www.trwm.com.tr portal, which was launched in 2020 for the member companies to introduce their products to target markets, has received more than 100 thousand visits so far. Each member has an online store belonging to their own company on the website, which is visited especially from India, USA, China, United Kingdom, Iran, Egypt, Germany, United Arab Emirates and Russia. In this online store, you can access company contact information, company product catalogues, product details and even photos and videos.

AIMSAD Magazine has its finger on the pulse of the industry

AIMSAD Magazine, which started publishing in 2015, has become an important archive for the woodworking machinery industry. Attracting the audience with its original content, in-depth sectoral news and analysis, AIMSAD Magazine filled an important gap in the sector and became an indispensable publication for sector professionals. The success of AİMSAD Magazine, which is prepared bimonthly for a total of six issues a year, lies in the quality content as well as the contributions of experts in the sector and the magazine’s approach to the sector with a comprehensive perspective. The success of the magazine, which has 4,500 copies printed per issue, is not limited only to the quality of its content. It is also noteworthy that it has been in constant growth and development since it started publishing in 2015. AIMSAD Magazine, which has expanded its readership and increased its influence in the sector over the years, has become an important actor of innovations and changes in the sector.

AIMSAD’s gateway to overseas markets: TWM Magazine

TWM Magazine is based on the TWM brand, which was launched in 2020. The power of the TWM brand, which constantly increases its awareness with a series of promotional activities carried out both at home and abroad, will provide significant support to TWM Magazine throughout its publication life. TWM Magazine undertakes a critical task for the Turkish woodworking machinery industry, which has had an export surplus every year since 2017, and will promote the Republic of Türkiye, the Turkish machinery industry, AIMSAD and sector stakeholders. TWM Magazine, which will be prepared by the expert staff of AIMSAD Magazine, will further increase the potential in the sector by presenting the success stories of Turkish machinery manufacturers to a wide audience abroad. TWM Magazine will continue the successful publishing tradition of AIMSAD Magazine abroad and provide up-to-date and quality information to stakeholders in the global sector.

Representing Türkiye on international platforms

Aiming to become a member of international sectoral non-governmental organizations, especially in Europe, and to represent Türkiye within these organizations, AIMSAD, for this purpose, attended the General Assembly of the European Woodworking Machinery Manufacturers Federation (EUMABOIS) held in Verona, Italy, on 12 September 2014. AIMSAD became a member of EUMABOIS as of the end of 2014 and was elected as a Member of the EUMABOIS Board of Directors at the general assembly held in Lucerne, Switzerland in September 2016. AIMSAD also hosted the EUMABOIS General Assembly in Türkiye in 2018.
