In its 10th year, AIMSAD caught attention at the WoodTech Fair with its innovative booth design and effective communication efforts. By combining digital and traditional media tools, AIMSAD connected with industry representatives and visitors, intensifying its PR and advertising efforts even before the fair period.
Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, AIMSAD participated in the WoodTech Fair with a change to the previous years by completely redesigning its booth in the main foyer area with a special design for the 10th year and welcomed its visitors. The visuals used inside the booth included AIMSAD’s websites, with QR codes provided to allow visitors to access these websites.
In order to help AIMSAD member companies promote their products to target markets and diversify export markets more quickly, the portal launched in 2020, which was updated in 2024 to the address www.twm.com.tr, featured promotional advertisements on digital screens within the fairground at WoodTech. Additionally, to allow foreign visitors to experience the portal, a touch screen was placed at the AIMSAD booth, where the portal was introduced to visitors and participants.
Throughout the fair period, AIMSAD’s booth in the main foyer and the AIMSAD info booths at two separate entrance gates distributed AIMSAD Magazine, TWM Magazine, and the Member Directory. During the distribution process, visitors were provided with information about AIMSAD activities, its members, and the Turkish woodworking machinery industry, along with guidance and directions.
A special layout plan for AIMSAD members was prepared
Another initiative AIMSAD prepared for the fair was a brochure containing the layout plan of its member companies. A total of 1,500 copies were printed, featuring an AIMSAD introduction in both English and Turkish, the layout plan of member companies, and their logos. These communication efforts by the association were met with strong interest from both participants and visitors throughout the fair.
Great emphasis was placed on social media advertising
Before the fair period, AIMSAD placed great emphasis on PR efforts, conducting social media and digital advertising campaigns. Social media ads related to the WoodTech Fair were shared via AIMSAD’s Instagram account, providing information on the fair dates and other related topics. The Instagram ad campaign reached over 135,000 profiles.
The nostalgic newspaper project received great attention
The Nostalgic Newspaper, prepared for distribution at the WoodTech Fair, was handed out by a newsboy throughout the event. A total of 1,000 copies of the newspaper was printed, which included content about AIMSAD activities with one side in Turkish and the other in English. Due to its high popularity and rapid consumption, an additional 1,000 copies were printed on the second day of the fair and distributed throughout all halls and entrances until the last day of the event. Additionally, the General Secretariat staff distributed AIMSAD member companies’ booths received fair kits, which included the AIMSAD Magazine, TWM Magazine, Member Directory, special fair brochures, AIMSAD lanyards, badges and pens in addition to “AIMSAD Member” cut-outs.important discussions.
International bilateral meetings were held
AIMSAD held several international meetings during the WoodTech Fair. AIMSAD Chairman of the Board İsmet Toktaş and Secretary General Arif Onur Kaçak met with key industry figures, including Mike Zhao, President of the Qindao Woodworking Machinery Association, Secretary Zhou Yan, Ligna Project Manager Stephanie Wagner, Ligna Türkiye Project Directors Demet Çataklı Avcu and Hamit Özaras, WoodShow Global Business Development Expert Mohamed Rilvan, Dilip Kumar, Drema Project Director, and Tomasz Nieciag, Vice President of the Polish Woodworking Machinery Association (DROMA), to conduct important discussions.
