AIMSAD members attended the Holz-Handwerk and Fensterbau Frontale Fair held simultaneously in Germany and exhibited their innovative products and services there. Turkish machinery companies, which attracted great interest from visitors, once again proved their success in production.

Continuing to expand their export markets every year with the machinery and services they offer, Turkish woodworking machinery industry players continue to constantly participate in foreign fairs. AIMSAD member companies, which participated in the Holz-Handwerk and Fensterbau Frontale Fair, held simultaneously in Nuremberg, Germany, between 19-22 March 2024, left the fair with full marks. Katay, Özgenç Makine, Edda, Canmaksan, Bala, Fen-iş, Unimak and Vermak companies, which are members of AİMSAD, participated in the fair. Organizing the fairs simultaneously brought together companies in two different but interrelated sectors, such as woodworking and door-window production. In this way, participants had the opportunity to establish new cross-sector collaborations and partnerships.

Arif Onur Kaçak, AIMSAD Secretary General
  • “Turkish machinery was applauded at the fair”

Making an evaluation about the fairs, AIMSAD Secretary General Arif Onur Kaçak said: “As AIMSAD, we participated in the Holz-Handwerk Fair and the Fensterbau Frontale Fair, which were held simultaneously. In our interviews with companies, the majority of companies stated that they were satisfied with participating in the fair. The fair was generally successful for us. It was a fair where visitors showed interest in Turkish machines and appreciated product quality, after-sales services and technological infrastructures. We had a fast start to the new year in terms of fairs. Both as an association and as individual companies, we participate in fairs in different parts of the world. This year, as AIMSAD, we will continue to contribute to the development of the sector by focusing on new export markets.”

Serkan Mışıl, Özgenç Machine
  • “Our meetings with our customers in the region were productive”

The fair went really well for us, but there was no fair with as many visitors as before the pandemic. Our meetings with our customers in the expected region went very well and productively. This was an image building fair anyway, it would be beneficial to attend whether it was crowded or not. Participating in this fair is also of great importance in terms of increasing our brand awareness and following the latest trends in the industry.

Hasan İnan, Vermak Machinery
  • “Compared to 2022, we observed an increased potential of over 200 percent”

In recent years, we have had a very crowded fair in terms of customers, it was an event where the right people participated. Compared to 2022, we observed a potential increase of over 200 percent. This enabled us to create opportunities to present our projects in accordance with the needs of our customers. From now on, the ball is in our court, we will do our best to get back to the customers and clarify the issues as much as we can.

Recep Tunç, Edda Machines
  • “We had the opportunity to make predictions about the future of the industry and trends”

Holzhandwerk 2024 Europe’s regional fair, which lasted four days is over now. We had an effective fair both because it was one of the first professional fairs of the year and because it had many international participants. We had the chance to meet with many visitors from many European countries and both North and South American countries. We also had the opportunity to make predictions about the future of the industry and trends for 2024.

Ozan Can, Canmaksan Machinery
  • “The functionality and quality of our machines were highly appreciated”

I can say that the fair was mediocre for us. For us, there was no positive feedback. The low number of participants also led to inefficiency. Frankly, we do not have very positive thoughts for all these reasons. If we compare it with the previous fair, the previous fair was better for us. The door and window field was more crowded, and we can attribute this fact to the acceleration in the construction sector.

Can Akkuş, Fen-İş Machinery
  • “Turkish manufacturers offer products above standards”

We had a fair where everything went very well for us. At the fair, we had the opportunity to meet new customers and dealers and strengthen our existing relationships. We devoted enough time to introduce our machines and our company to the visitors. We have seen Turkish machines compete successfully with European competitors; Our sector produces quality machines and we can compete with Europe with the price-quality balance. Customers are no longer surprised by the high quality of Turkish machines because we offer products above standards.
