Yelda Akıncı – Biesse

“The fair exceeded our expectations and was extremely productive”

The fair exceeded our expectations and was extremely productive. Our booth attracted significant attention, and we hosted guests not only from Türkiye but also from the Middle East, North Africa, and the Balkans. This year, our event, which is considered one of the most important industry fairs in Europe, has become an increasingly attractive hub, thanks to its strategic location and visa advantages. The fair, enriched by the participation of both international companies and local producers, holds significant growth potential for the future. As a team, we are very pleased with the new connections we established with both current and potential customers, as well as with the overall results of the fair.

Orhan Demirtaş – Katay

“We believe that the WoodTech Fair will play a critical role in helping us achieve our fourth-quarter targets”

The WoodTech Fair is of great importance to our company. This fair is a key event that significantly impacts our revenues and is the second largest industry event in Europe. At our booth, we maintained our high quality standards and delivered a successful performance. We believe that this fair will play a critical role in helping us achieve our fourth-quarter targets. Overall, I can say that it was a productive and successful fair.

Kenan Arıcı – Ligno

“The separation from the Intermob Fair allowed us to have more quality and focused discussions with our customers”

This year’s WoodTech Fair was similarly productive compared to last year, but it took place in a more promising atmosphere. The expectation that the economy will improve from the first quarter of next year has increased the fair’s significance. The separation of the organization from the Intermob Fair allowed us to have more quality and focused discussions with our customers. As a result, we had the opportunity to have detailed conversations with each customer based on their needs. Unlike the previous fairs, where there was congestion and missed opportunities, this time we achieved a more efficient communication environment. Overall, we are leaving the fair satisfied and have positive expectations for the future.

Serkan Necipoğlu – As Metal

“We mostly made contact with domestic visitors”

Although we did not reach the expected number of visitors, I can say that the WoodTech Fair went well for us overall. The participation was satisfactory given the current conditions. The number of foreign visitors seemed a bit lower compared to previous years, and we mostly made contact with domestic visitors. People were looking to venture into new initiatives, purchase new machinery, or grow or change their businesses. As a result, the fair went well for us overall.

Melike Türksever – Netmak

“A large portion of visitors were either coming to buy a product based on their needs or coming to make a decision about a product”

As a company, we have been participating in the fair for over 35 years. As every year, this year, we had the opportunity to meet and discuss with our customers, dealers, and industry representatives. When it comes to the visitor profile that came to our booth, a large portion of them were either coming to buy a product based on their needs or coming to make a decision about a product. In this sense, we had quite good sales both in machinery and cutting tools.

Yavuz Yılmaz – Homag

“Our booth was visited by a lot of customers, and the number of foreign guests was also high”

We are very satisfied with the visitor turnout as Homag. Our booth was visited by a lot of customers, and the number of foreign guests was also high. Overall, the fair was very successful for us; we had the opportunity to meet and communicate with many new customers. As an organization, it was a great fair. We don’t know the exact number of foreign visitors, but we had a lot of international visitors. We were all very busy, and at times we couldn’t keep up, especially the high traffic on Sunday was notable. We had visitors not only from the Middle East but also from many countries in Africa and Europe, which made us very happy. As a result, we had the chance to reach new customers, and we left the fair very satisfied in this regard.

Geylani Ovalı – Mergen

“We are particularly pleased with the number of domestic visitors”

The fair was generally quite busy for us. There was a participation level above our expectations, and we are particularly pleased with the number of domestic visitors. Although the number of foreign visitors was somewhat lower compared to previous years, the overall customer potential was at a satisfactory level. Holding the fair separately was beneficial in terms of reaching real customers in the machinery sector.

Samir Yahiaoui – Üstünkarlı

“We received some orders and signed contracts”

The fair exceeded our expectations. Despite the current market situation, the number of visitors was quite high, and the customers who came showed serious interest. We received some orders and signed contracts. Overall, I can say that the fair went very well, and we are satisfied with the results.

Can Akkuş – Fen-İş

“The fact that the fair was solely focused on machines allowed visitors to directly engage with their areas of interest”

We’ve had a very successful event. During this process, we had the opportunity to introduce our machines to our dealers and customers worldwide. The level of participation was high, and visitors had the chance to explore the machines across all halls. We are especially pleased with the quality of the visitors. The fact that the fair was solely focused on machines allowed visitors to directly engage with their areas of interest, which enabled us to direct our energy towards the right customers. Therefore, I believe that organizing the fair specifically for the machine sector was beneficial for everyone.

Yusuf Akbıyık – Orimak

“Our sales and feedback were positive”

We had a very successful fair in terms of both foreign and domestic participants. We would like to especially thank the Tüyap Family and AIMSAD for this successful organization. Our sales and feedback were positive. Of course, the separation of the fair from Intermob had an effect, but this situation worked to our advantage. Because at this fair, we meet directly with buyers, and instead of the purchasing group, we have the opportunity to meet with managers. This helps accelerate our sales processes.

Behiye Aydın – Mısırlı

“Fairs have played an important role in our success today”

As a company, we believe that fairs have a significant impact on our business. Having customers from different countries see our machines opens new doors for us and brings valuable references. Fairs have played an important role in our success today. We would also like to thank our colleagues who have shown all the necessary dedication and provided unwavering support throughout this process.

Ahmet Türkdönmez – Maymak

“We are generally satisfied and did not encounter any negative situations”

We started off positively at the WoodTech Fair. We are generally satisfied and did not encounter any negative situations. The number of foreign visitors remained at an average level, which met our expectations. We are pleased with the overall course of the fair and consider it a successful event.

Özlem Durular – Modprocess

“Being a machinery-focused fair only allowed us to be in contact with real buyers”

Despite the challenging economic conditions, the WoodTech Fair met our expectations. This year, being a machinery-focused fair only allowed us to be in contact with real buyers. Our booth was very busy, and the visitors were generally customers in serious need of machinery. This pleased us greatly.  We observed a decrease in visitor numbers from some regions due to the current war situation. However, since we regularly participate in international fairs, we did not see this as a significant shortcoming.

Enes Morkoç – Ima Schelling

“We worked at a fast pace and secured appointments with our major customers”

As a company participating for the first time, the WoodTech Fair was extremely positive for us. The fair has grown by two halls compared to last year. We worked at a fast pace and secured appointments with our major customers. Despite being located in Hall 12, our booth received considerable interest, and we received positive feedback from our customers, with many saying ‘we’re glad you came.’ Our primary goal was not machine sales but to showcase Ima Schelling’s presence in Türkiye and send the message that we are now by our customers’ side. I believe we achieved this goal. We are confident in the quality of our machines, and we received very positive feedback in this regard. Despite some challenges due to the global economic situation, we had productive meetings with potential customers from the Middle East and Africa. Even though it was our first year, we were very pleased with the fair and have already started planning for next year.

Ozan Can – Canmaksan

“The number of people decreased, but we had more productive meetings”

After the crowds during the first days of the fair, we noticed that although the number of visitors was lower compared to previous years, those who attended were more engaged. The number of people decreased, but we had more productive meetings. Visitors came from Balkan countries, including Bulgaria, Romania, and Russia. We ended up having meetings that exceeded our expectations. Overall, we had a good fair, above average for our company. Despite the current market conditions and particularly the weakening domestic investment power, we observed that everyone was trying their best.

Murat Ayral – Baytes

“It was especially successful for us in terms of reaching the international target audience”

The WoodTech Fair was especially successful for us in terms of reaching the international target audience. We achieved our goal of meeting with the foreign customers we had planned. Particularly, the significant flow of visitors from Russia and Belarus due to the current embargoes was noteworthy, and we had productive meetings with these groups. However, participation from the domestic market was below our expectations compared to last year. We believe this may have been due to the separation of the fair from Intermob. The profile and number of foreign visitors were satisfying. Overall, our assessment is that the fair was productive for our company and we largely achieved the goals we set.

Orhun Şaşal – ABM

“The separation of the fair from Intermob had a positive impact”

We are generally satisfied with the 2024 WoodTech Fair. However, there was a noticeable decrease in the number of foreign visitors. Fewer visitors came from Arab and Middle Eastern countries, likely due to the ongoing conflicts in the region. Participation from Europe and the Balkans was also lower, and Russia has not been able to attend for the past few years. The separation of the fair from Intermob actually had a positive impact. Instead of the previous crowd, now serious customers who are genuinely considering purchasing machinery are attending. This eliminated the risk of losing real customers amidst unrelated crowds, as used to happen. Therefore, although the fair appeared physically less crowded, it was more productive in terms of the quality of visitors.

İsmail Hakkı Aktaş – SAF

“The visitors who came directed their attention to the products they specifically needed”

Due to WoodTech Fair’s focus on machinery for the last two years, the visitors who came directed their attention to the products they specifically needed, which gave us the opportunity to better present our products and engage in more efficient communication with our customers. Although the number of foreign visitors was relatively low this year, all the customers who came were serious and elite buyers, which allowed us to have productive meetings. According to the analysis data we have, our efficiency rate, which used to be around 50-55% in previous fairs, has now reached 80-85% in the last two years. This significant increase has been a very valuable development for both our company and stakeholders. We sincerely thank everyone who has contributed to the fair’s successful format from the past to the present.

Umut İnce – Schnitzer

“We had the chance to meet new customers”

We had the chance to meet new customers, and our new machines received positive feedback from them. There was a decrease in the number of potential foreign customers, particularly from Palestinian and Arab clients, due to the ongoing war situation. Last year, there were many visitors just coming to look around, but this year we had the opportunity to meet serious buyers, which made the fair more productive.

Ali Rupcuz – Nesto

“The WoodTech Fair exceeded our expectations”

In the last five months, we attended fairs in five different countries, and the global economic crisis has affected everyone. However, the WoodTech Fair exceeded our expectations. While the number of foreign visitors was lower compared to previous years, most of the visitors who came were genuine buyers and potential customers. We made sales to Nigeria, Armenia, and the United Arab Emirates. Additionally, we had visitors from Ireland, Estonia, and the USA. Overall, we are leaving the fair, which we didn’t approach with high expectations, with positive results, and we hope the feedback will reflect this.

Deniz Çağatay – Orent

“The quality of the visitors was quite high”

The visitors was quite high. Although we collected fewer business cards, most of the people we met were serious company representatives who genuinely wanted to do business and with whom we can continue communication after the fair. In terms of foreign participation, there has been a significant decrease in the number of Russian visitors, who were more numerous in previous fairs. Due to the current state of the global economy, the number of visitors coming just to browse has also decreased. Despite this, we were satisfied with the overall course and productivity of the fair.

Recep Tunç – Edda

“Our booth received great interest”

The fair exceeded our expectations, which we kept low due to fluctuations in the international market. Our booth received great interest, and we established significant connections with visitors from the Middle East, Arab countries, and the Balkans. During the first days of the fair, we mainly hosted foreign visitors. However, we hope for more visitors from Europe at future fairs. Overall, we can say that the fair was very productive for us.

Nizamettin Coşkun – Unimak

“While the number of visitors decreased, the fact that the attendees were real buyers was a significant advantage”

The fact that WoodTech Fair was held alone ensured that the event was more relaxed. While the number of visitors decreased, the fact that the attendees were more professional and real buyers was a significant advantage. This allowed us to work with fewer technical staff and dedicate more quality time to our customers. The fair was productive for us. To assess the success of this new format, we need to observe for a few more years and plan how we can improve the fair.

Tunç Aktekin – BUP

“The customer participation was satisfactory”

The WoodTech Fair reached the expected level of attendance during the first two days, and the foreign customer participation was satisfactory. The separation of the fair from Intermob was positively received, especially by the machinery sector. Despite this, we had productive meetings with goal-oriented customers and introduced new products. Overall, we were satisfied with the meetings and product presentations, but I can also say that there are areas for improvement for future fairs.

Mehmet Dinç – Dinçmak

“Our customers did not leave us alone this year as well, and they showed great interest in our booth”

At our booth, specially prepared for the 45th anniversary of our company, we had the opportunity to introduce our machines to our customers. Our customers did not leave us alone this year as well, and they showed great interest in our booth. We hosted a large number of visitors, especially from abroad. While all our machines attracted attention, we demonstrated our newly developed CNC sanding model live at the fair, allowing our customers to see it in action. Visitors had the chance to test the machine, and our product received great praise.

Yusuf Kaya – Aswood

“Most of the visitors were real buyers”

Compared to previous fairs, most of the visitors this time were real buyers. The separation of the furniture and accessory section from the fair had an impact on this. When the accessory section was included, there were more visitors, but many of them were just there to browse and ask questions, which led to wasted time. However, there are also disadvantages to the lower visitor count, as a high number of visitors used to create a long-term advertising effect and lead to returns. In the end, while the number of visitors decreased, the efficiency increased.

Ömer Mızrak – Mızrak

“We are very pleased with the quality of the customer portfolio”

The performance of the WoodTech Fair exceeded our expectations. Domestic customer participation was dominant, but we experienced a decrease in the number of foreign customers compared to last year. We attribute this to the ongoing events in the Middle East. As a company, we are very pleased with the quality of the customer portfolio that attended this year’s fair, and we anticipate that the follow-up responses will also be productive.
